We strongly recommend that all cats and dogs are  microchipped. Since April 6th 2016 it has been compulsory for all DOGS to be microchipped. It has been annouced that it will soon also be compulsary for cats to be chipped by 5months old.

These chips are tiny and are usually placed between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck for ease of reading.

Once they are chipped, if your pet is lost or injured and subsequently found they can be quickly and easily scanned using a hand held device and returned to you. For this reason it is very important to keep the details associated with your pet’s microchip up to date.

The chip can be inserted at any time but if you choose to microchip your pet during routine surgery, such as neutering, we can offer a discounted price.
